FAMILY HOUSE IN KRALUPY - MIKOVICE

A family bungalow for a young family of five, with two bedrooms and a study. The house is situated in a broad and quiet garden, defined by an old marlstone wall. A large living space is open by large windows into the garden. The structure used contains steel, concrete and wood. The house was designed to be very economic – the heating stays off for most of the year. Recuperation, heat from cooking, electric appliances and human heat are the main sources of warmth. The basic heat losses are compensated for by the infrared heating foils. The living room also offers warmth from a cast iron fireplace.
