STUDY OF A KINDERGARTEN IN PRAGUE 6
We propose a modern day kindergarten for the 21st century with free floating spaces, which allow for immediate contact with the outside. The disadvantage of a small plot and therefore a small garden is compensated for with large terraces connected via staircases and a slide. The house creates an image of a labyrinth, one large playground. The layout is divided into two equal parts, which can be used in various settings – connected or divided, according to instant requirements of the activities happening. The main spaces for the children are situated on the ground floor. On the upper floor there are bedrooms, gyms, creative workshop, and the teachers’ office in the attic, technology and kitchen in the basement.
