SUCHDOL PRIMARY SCHOOL SPORTS HALL

We propose a modest sports hall with a pleasant welcoming scale. It offers a 40 x 20 meters full range playground, 9 meters in clear height. The building’s volume and articulation of the wooden load-bearing framework respect the adjacent Sokol building and the hall’s scale relates to the nearby arising urban development built in a manner of the garden city. The gym itself is supposed to become a noble sports and communal centre for local inhabitants. The slightly sunk playground level is uniformly lit through the polycarbonate façade cladding, which also provides protection from the unwanted sun glare during a game.
