HIGH-SPEED RAIL TERMINAL IN JIHLAVA

The transport terminals of the future give priority to comfort, contact with nature, clarity and cultural specificity. Transparency, intuitive navigation and regional architectural expression support user comfort and cultural anchoring. Comfortable seating, natural lighting, and well-designed and equipped facilities enhance passenger well-being. The intensive contact with the surrounding nature creates a calm, relaxing atmosphere. This vision defines the Jihlava High-Speed Rail Terminal as a vibrant and transformative space that connects passengers and provides them with exceptional comfort and a travel experience. The ensemble of buildings of the new terminal, bridges and transport structures respects the landscape character of Vysočina region and follows the character of the original cultural landscape. The terminal is located between the High-Speed Rail platform and the conventional line platform, and thus does not disturb the landscape skyline in the area. The building programme is based on reducing the priority links to a minimum. The parking area in front of the terminal occupies a minimal area and has a landscape character of deciduous forest with a mixed vegetation types. The county's landmark junction will be marked by a 112 m high needle.
