The design is based on pursuit of preserving the original character of the building and optimizing its function. We introduce a new corridor and with minimal impact on the original structure, we improve the inner circulation. The visitor traffic becomes independent to the glazing of the circular gallery and allows for removal of the independent stone staircase. In the basic design option we propose a complete removal of the non-authentic glazing, as required by the historical building survey, though we understand its practical function. The building and its interior is to be adjusted to its ideal original state. What we bring on top of that, is a unified graphic design, advertising, visual communication etc. in a manner to reach a consistent and timeless Gesamtkunstwerk.
