The city cultural center is designed as a horizontally and vertically open house. The ground floor is a natural continuation of the town square – it visually and physically connects the arcade, the interior and the courtyard and offers services to the general public (information center, bookstore and cafe). Top-lit staircase attracts visitors to upper floors and the classic theme of the columns is communicated in contemporary architectural language. In the attic we create a new studio space with a large round window, which acts as a symbol of the house when seeing from the town square. The shape of the roof reflects segments of the building and with the help of studio windows brings light to the foyer of the studio and to the staircase.
